The Consumer PFAS Ban Act of 2024 reaches 'textile articles including apparel, textile furnishings and footwear' from January 1, 2027 — so a shoe brand that scoped itself out of other states' apparel definitions is in scope here. Food packaging is already prohibited, having taken effect January 1, 2025 after a one-year delay. Artificial turf and outdoor apparel for severe wet conditions follow in 2029.
