Connecticut PFAS product requirements
Connecticut's duty is a gate on selling, not a report you file afterward.
Since July 1, 2026 you must notify CT DEEP before selling a covered category containing intentionally added PFAS, on a published form carrying an $800 registration fee, and label the product as well. The notification asks for CAS numbers or molecular formula, the amount of each PFAS subgroup, a PFAS range by percent weight, and the reason the PFAS is there — closer to a dossier than a checkbox. The outright sale ban does not arrive until January 1, 2028, so the near-term obligation is paperwork rather than reformulation.

Cadence: Prior notification before offering for sale: DEEP's 'PFAS Reporting Form for Manufacturers' emailed to DEEP.CentralPermits@ct.gov (cc DEEP.PFASInProduct@ct.gov) or mailed to the Central Permit Processing Unit, with an $800 registration fee.
Notification content: product description + category, CAS numbers or molecular formula/weight, amount of each PFAS subgroup, PFAS range by % weight (total fluorine if no analytical method exists), reason PFAS is used, and manufacturer contact info.
Labeleffective January 1, 2026
Since January 1, 2026, outdoor apparel for severe wet conditions with intentionally added PFAS may only be sold in Connecticut with a 'Made with PFAS chemicals' disclosure.
